5 Things That Surprised Me as a New Momma

Just a few things I’ve realized over the last few months as a new Mom – besides the obvious parts, like loving the little chubby bubbie to death. I don’t think I’ll ever feel like I know what I’m doing 100% of the time – but I do feel like I have it figured out most of the time. and look – memes and somee cards. 1. What NOT to say to a Pregnant Woman

I’ve been thinking about this post for a long (LONG) time. Been keeping mental notes (and literal notes, too) all along my pregnancy of the stupid things people say to pregnant woman. Here are just a few: 1.) (upon finding out that I was pregnant) “I thought your face looked plump.” the polite response – smile & nod in agreement what I really want to say - “Well, yes, it is normal to gain weight in pregnancy. Which explains my ‘plump’ {Read More}

Eastern Caribbean Cruise

WE had a BLAST. So much FUN! Started off with the safety lecture… (thank goodness we were not on the Carnival Triumph and we never needed to put our life jackets on again!) Our first stop was at Princess Cays. Which is Princess’ (our cruise line) own private island in the Bahamas. We were basically lazy bums and just laid in beach chairs all day. Diz snorkeled and saw some cool fish. My Dad and Josh played a few games {Read More}

Update on Olivia!!

We got some GREAT NEWS this week! Olivia is NOT a hermaphrodite! (Not that it would have been a bad thing necessarily… #justsayin) The histopathology came back and the bumps ended up being inflamed lymph nodes. The pathologist could not find any reason for the inflammation which is strange. There was no bacterial infection, no viral infection and no fungal infection and MOST importantly — NO CANCER! And all the swelling that she has (that we’ve been so damn worried {Read More}

remember when  you were a kid at Christmas and your Mom had empty wrapping paper tubes and you had sword fights?! well… Olivia wanted in on the action. except – all we had was a paper towel tube. and we only had one. so she played tug-o-war with Dizzle. obviously… this game did not last long. ya know… the whole slobber thing kinda makes cardboard soggy.

1 year ago…

this little love bug came into our lives! I fell in love with her the moment I saw her! I knew we had to bring her home. from snowball chasing… to her first lake trip… to loving on us, kissing on us, and constantly snoodling with us… She makes our family complete!

Yeah… well… that didn’t work out. :/ But you can check out the lucky 36 girls HERE.  yesterday I was super sad about not making the team.
